There is a big difference between cramming up facts and learning them so that they can be applied in productive ways. At DIS, we try to work towards holistic development of our students by providing them the tools and experiences that encourage our students to think. The aim is to create empowered minds so that students are able to decide what is good for them, differentiate between right and wrong, choose opportunities that help build them up and enable them to live in harmony with all existence. As the new Vice Principal, I am delighted that the school’s values align with my own personal values, including the importance of trust, respect, innovation and a sense of community.
Education imparted here is thus not confined to the class room alone but is moving beyond that. As a Chinese proverb very aptly says, “Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand”.
Our vision is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating learning environment where children will recognize and achieve their fullest potential so that they can make their best contribution to the society. Our core values are honesty, integrity, quality, accountability and social responsibility. We value the partnership that exists between the school, parents and the community .
I take this opportunity to thank God almighty for his benevolence, generous blessings showered upon our institution through various people and events. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mr.Showkat Hussain khan, Chairman DIS who always guides, givesconfidence, inspires and supports in all that I do. I extend my gratitude to all the staff members for their constant amicable support towards the institution. Finally I want to thank all the students of DIS for their contribution and important role they play in the school to take the school to a greater height.
