Doon Interschool Basketball Tournament reached its exhilarating conclusion on Tuesday, 12th August 2025, with the much-awaited final matches drawing an enthusiastic crowd. The event was graced by Mr. Balbir Singh Sodhi: joint Director Youth Service and Sports J & K , Mr. Ashraf Dijoo: International Coach Roller Skating, Mr. Tajamul Hussain; and several other esteemed dignitaries, adding prestige to the occasion.
The day began with the Girls’ Final, as DPS Srinagar locked horns with Mallinson Girls School. In a gripping encounter marked by remarkable teamwork, relentless defense, and unwavering determination, DPS Srinagar Girls ultimately claimed a hard-earned victory, proudly lifting the championship trophy.
The excitement continued with the Boys’ Final, where Dolphin faced off against Birla Open Minds Pampore. In the decisive moments, Birla Open Minds Pampore surged ahead, securing the coveted title in their category.
The closing ceremony was a spectacle in itself, lit up by electrifying performances from the talented students of Doon School Srinagar, who enthralled the audience with their artistry and vibrant energy.
The event concluded with the Principal of Doon School Srinagar felicitating the champions and runners-up, lauding their dedication, spirit of fair play, and exemplary sportsmanship. The day stood as a celebration of both athletic excellence and the unifying power of sport.
