Government of Mauritius hails Mr Showkat Hussain Khan Chairman Doon School Srinagar!
In Mauritius, October 6,2022; Doon International School NH-1, HMT Srinagar has received prestigious award in Excellence in School Education Awards- 2022 in collaboration with Mauritius Government, organised by IMT (Intelligent Minds Trust).
President of Mauritius Mr. Prithviraj Singh Roopun along with the dignitaries Mrs. Leela Devi Roopun- Vice Prime Minister & Minister of Education, Mrs K. Nandani Singla - High Commissioner of India presented prestigious award to Mr Showkat Hussain Khan in category Best Holistic Development of Children at World Hindi Secretariat Mauritius on October 6, 2022.
Wherein Dr Vinod Ramachandra – Educational Secretary of Gujrat, Mrs Santi Bai Hanoomanjee – Former High Commissioner of Mauritius in India, Mr. Alan Ganoo – Minister of Foreign Affair, The Chairperson of the National School of Open School India - Prof. Saroj Sharma, High officials from the ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology were overwhelmed to learn from Mr. Showkat Khan’s elucidated description about present practice in school of Kashmir and his progressive work and contribution to bring international curriculum and exchange programs for the local community.
Mr Showkat Hussain Khan Chairman of Doon School Srinagar was extremely proud to share the achievement and the prestigious award in category The Holistic Development of Children by President of Mauritius. He further added that it is the moment of pride and joy not just for the school or for the state but for the nation. It goes without saying that such results are not possible year after year without the dedicated, hardworking and committed members of staff.
