DIS Srinagar Bids Adieu to Grade XII Students

On 25th of December a farewell party was organised by DIS Srinagar to formally bid adieu to the outgoing batch of grade 12th. The ceremony was started with a speech given by the honourable Chairman Mr Showkat Hussain Khan. He praised the students for being disciplined, diligent, and hardworking. He said that the school has high hopes from its students. The Principal of the school, Mr Mehfooz Aslam addressed the gathering next. After advising the students to always stay as decent and disciplined as they have been in their school years, he sang a farewell song for them.

The students of class 11th, then took over the stage. They had prepared a number of performances which were well presented on the day. The programmes included, solo dances, group dances, rap songs, and duet songs. The students also played a number of games with their seniors.

One of the major attractions of the day was the ‘Ms and Mr DIS’ contest. After performing well in all the competitions comprising this contest, Aiman and Hadi were declared as the winners. Huzaifa and Ayan were awarded ‘the best dressed students’. The Vice-principal of the school, Ms Nousheen Bashir presented mementos to all the students of grade 12. The celebration was ended with a cake-cutting ceremony. All the teachers and students wished the outgoing batch all the best for their upcoming board exam in particular, and for their lives in general.
