Doon School,
Srinagar, organized a Special assembly on Friday, April 8th, 22, to commemorate
the holy month of Ramadhan. Naat competition/Speech on Ramadhan was held
throughout Grades I to X. The students along with their teachers had a great
time making Ramadhan themed craft for their respective classes.
For Kindergartners, the
theme of the Friday Activity was basic hygiene and etiquettes. Reinforcing good
manners to children isn’t hard but it is something that needs to be
deliberately undertaken. It is also important to start as early as one can, so
manners become something which the child has imbibed and therefore, will
reflect the same in any social situation. For this cause, teachers from LPD
conducted a drill of hand washing, brushing teeth, table etiquettes, which the
students enthusiastically followed. The aim of these activities was to help
these children at their tender age to learn good hygiene, appropriate and
considerable behavior to help chisel out their overall personality.
