Doon International School
Srinagar organised the investiture ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 today
at the school premises with full zeal and enthusiasm, to enhance the morale of
the little modernities and give recognition to their commendable academic
achievements.
The investiture ceremony
is one of the momentous occasions where the school entrusts hope, faith and the
mantle of responsibilities to the newly appointed school cabinet. This ceremony
signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly
elected school council. The ceremony started with a prayer that was then
followed by the school anthem.
Academic Coordinator, Ms
Shabnam welcomed all the students with her beautiful inspirational speech.
The special guest of honour,
Mr. Chairman (Showkat Khan) graced the occasion. A garland of motivational words
were delivered by the esteemed Chairman Sir. In his speech, he guided the Students
Council Members to be role model and render their responsibilities sincerely.
He also advised students
to inculcate the values of punctuality, dedication, discipline and
determination as they are the torchbearers of tomorrow.
On this occasion, the Vice
Principal administered the oath to the newly constituted student Council
Members. Vice Principal, Ms Nowsheen congratulated the newly appointed Council
Members for their preparedness and motivated them to take up responsibilities
entrusted to them.
The School Head boy, Head
girl, Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head girl, Sports captain Boys and Girls, and
House prefects were conferred with badges and sashes. In their acceptance
speech, the school Head Boy and Head Girl thanked their teachers for moulding
them well and promised to fulfil their duties to the best of their abilities.
The ceremony culminated
with the vote of thanks proposed by the Vice Principal.
