Doon International School, Srinagar in collaboration with Traffic Police City Srinagar hosted an awareness programme regarding traffic awareness and involvement of public in traffic management.
The chief guests were Mr. Muzaffar Shah, SSP Traffic, and Mr. Imtiyaz, DSP Traffic. Mr. Shah outlined the role that traffic police play as one of the key stakeholder groups in enforcing traffic laws. The presentation was shown in the school auditorium to the drivers, staff, and students of Doon School.
Traffic congestion in some areas of Srinagar City was contrasted to glimpses of traffic management in other states and nations, such as Mizoram, Ukraine. The audience was informed of the dangers of excessive speeding, stunt driving, jaywalking, and the use of LEDs and high beams.
