The Wilmot Wing of Doon School Srinagar follows an international curriculum that aims at a holistic development of children through play-way learning. For the realisation of this aim, this Wing of Doon School Srinagar organises an annual presentation session for and by its students. The annual student presentation for the session 2023 at Doon School Srinagar, commenced on the 12th of October 2023, and would continue till the 16th of October, 2023. The first day of the presentation session was a vibrant and enriching event that showcased two equally important themes, “Jungle Safari” and the “Punjab State.” This event exemplified the school’s commitment to holistic learning, promoting active exploration and understanding of the world.

Morning Shift – Nursery Students: Jungle Safari:

The morning shift of the event was dedicated to the nursery students, who embraced the ‘Jungle Safari’ theme with enthusiasm.

Nursery Students’ Jungle Safari:

• The nursery students embarked on an exciting and educational journey through the jungle, bringing the world of wildlife to life.

• Through play-based and experiential learning, these young explorers constructed their own understanding of the animal kingdom.

• The presentation aimed to inculcate a love and appreciation for wildlife and raise awareness about preventing species extinction.

• The audience was captivated by the students’ knowledge of animal facts and their genuine respect for God’s creation.

Afternoon Shift – LKG and UKG Students:

Punjab State The afternoon shift featured LKG and UKG students who took on the theme of the ‘Punjab State.’

LKG and UKG Lily Students’ ‘Punjab State’:

• The students transported the audience to the rich and diverse culture of Punjab, known for its traditions and contributions.

• They presented a skit that highlighted the hardships faced by Punjabi farmers, shedding light on Punjab’s pivotal role in wheat production.

• The skit also addressed crucial environmental issues like water wastage and deforestation, promoting ecological awareness.

• The event encompassed the poetry, leadership, culture, and vibrant festivals of Punjab, showcasing the state’s heritage.

• The event was elevated with lively Punjabi dance performances, reflecting the cultural richness of the region.
