The students of Doon International School (DIS),
Srinagar brought laurels by winning various medals in different events
in the Inter-School U14 Zonal Competition 2023-2024 organized by Zonal
Physical Education Officer, Batamalo. The competition comprised of
different events like Chess, Carom, Rope Skipping and Badminton. The DIS
teams for Rope Skipping and Badminton categories won Silver and Gold
medals in the competition. Zainab Khan of Grade VII got a Silver medal
for Rope Skipping and Mahim Aijaz of Grade VI bagged a Gold medal in
Badminton.
While felicitating the students, the
Vice Principal of the School Ms Nowsheen Bashir lauded the efforts put
in by the students and the encouragement being extended to these young
ones by their Sports incharges.
She stressed upon
the students of DIS to take cue from these achievers and ensure that
they also excel in every competition and endeavour of their lives with
flying colours.
The management of the school also
appreciated the intensity of sincerity shown by the staff in winning the
competition in which students of several prominent schools of Srinagar
had taken part. The management representative said that students should
keep on endeavouring to add more and more achievements in the record
book of DIS.
