FRIDAY FUN ACTIVITY:
Extracurricular activities help
students show off their interests and personalities. Activities demonstrate the
ability to contribute, stick to their commitment and maintain time and
priorities. They serve as an extension of the academic curriculum.
With this notion, DIS starts
every Friday with different activities following new ideas, concepts and
themes. Today also several activities were conducted starting with Grade
Nursery, LKG and UKG (Fireless Cooking).
Grades I and II (Origami paper doll making and Things made from pencil waste). Grades
III and IV (Poster making on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). Grades V and VI (Paper
Plate Aquarium).
Grades VII and VIII (Inter house Story Writing competition, with themes of
Nature, Science, and social/ moral).
Encouraging children to write a
story of their own gives them an enormous confidence boost, as well as helps
them consolidate their literary learning by putting their Phonics, grammar and
reading skills into practice. Grade IX and X (Inter house Volley match for Boys)
and (Inter house Kho Kho match for girls).
