INAUGURATION OF M.S. DHONI CRICKET ACADEMY

They rehearsed to the point of confidence that they would perform well before the chief guest and august gathering. They did prove themselves indeed! Congratulations! to students and teachers who took up the launch function of M.S. Dhoni Cricket Academy so seriously. Their efforts were lauded by one and all.

The chief guest of the day, Mr. Baseer Khan, advisor to the governor was all praise for items presented on stage and off stage. The officials of M.S. Dhoni Academy led by Mr. Diwakar expressed deep appreciation for the well-conceived function that had the amalgamation of cricket and music. The function inspired fresh spirits amongst the crowd present. The press media present, absorbed the speeches, the action as of their own and gave spectacular coverage that was so encouraging. The hard work of each member of Doon school fraternity finally paid off. When the function rolled out on the stage the guests were enthralled as each item meticulously unfolded itself.

The anchors introduced the guests, the principal during his welcome address spoke about school and its growth and threw light on M.S. Dhoni Academy.

Then began the short cultural musical presentation of welcome song, specially penned about school. Ramp walk based on sports was followed by special tribute to grand cricketer Mr. Dhoni. The words echoed ‘Dhoni humarey dhoni, sabke pyare dhoni, sabke dularey dhoni!'. His song turned out to be the highlight of the function.

The chief guest cut the ribbon and peace pigeon and balloons flew high in the sky to announce to the valley the great opportunity of cricket training formally beginning at Doon International School, Srinagar. The special felicitation of eminent students and players of the valley received accolades from the audience. The function concluded with the vote of thanks presented by ma’am Nowsheen the Vice-Principal. Chairman of the school appreciated each person who contributed to the success of this show. The proverb “all was well, that ended well” came alive on 25th September afternoon.
