The Cross Country Run: Much awaited Cross Country Run of Doon International School Srinagar was held in midst of pleasant weather on Saturday, 4th May 2019 between 6:00 am to 7:15 am from Habbak Crossing to Nishat, covering a stretch of 6km besides Dal Lake. It was an exciting moment for the participants as well as for parents. The race was conducted in three phases: grade 3rd to 5th participants had to run a stretch of 3kms; grade 6th to 7th covered 5km; and grade 8th to 10th competed on 6km stretch. The boys and girls in each segment participated separately. All the phases of the race were flagged off by Mr.Showket Hussain Khan the Chairman of Doon International School Srinagar. Parental interest and tension of the race could be felt in the air. A collage of different house colours of the school became prominent on the entire stretch as boys and girls ran eagerly in midst of cheers and acknowledgement. Finally, all the phases of the race ended at Nishat. The moment arrived for declaration of winners in midst of joy and burly burly. At the end, the Chairman Doon International School, Srinagar declered the result appreciating students, teachers and parents. Finally the Principal Mr. B.N Sarkar acknowledged parents and the staff members for their cooperation and for the success of the event.
