The flames of anxiety
leaping high with academic uncertainty got doused as the tiny feet of our
students were kissed by the early dew drops on the grass blades of our school’s
ground when, one and all, saw the ‘Sporty-Fest’ conjure high
spirits for all stakeholders of Doon International School,.
The event was just an
idea from the Chairman – Mr Showkat Hussain Khan to revitalize the school
life with determined efforts of swimming against the prevalent
currents. The faculty took no time in catching on the message and it took them
just a day and a complete night to get the festive look ready for the school
ground. Facing challenges and swimming against the currents has been a loving
sport for Doon faculty. They love taking the plunge while
contemporaries hold back the reigns.
Doon International
School is all geared up to mitigate the stressfull confines of the Pandemic
period from the minds of over bored kids before they get
over board now.
‘Come September’, the
classic tune ushered this September and the Doonians rolled on roller
skates painting the Boulevard Road with their skill and speed as they brushed
passed and then later tried their brush on the canvas
with sketching the mood. 4th - 9th October saw the
latest ongoing ‘Sporty Fest, which is the success story of rekindling the
school mood amongst the kids and parents. The tents buzzed with their chirps
while the announcement booth sent sound waves of the flow of events
that kept spectators spell bound.
The Sporty-Fest
kicked off on 4th October ,when the little ones of Nursery and
LKG started arriving the school, escorted by their ever supportive
parents. The kids were seen capering around the ground and giving tough
competition to their opponents.
On 5th October, the
kids of Grade UKG showcased their talent and skills while indulging in assorted
games.
Grade I and II
displayed their competitiveness on Day III of the Sporty-Fest i.e., on 6th
October while on Day IV, 7th of October, the kids of Grade III and IV staged
their athletic skills on the ground.
The Sporty-Fest concluded on 9th of October , with Grade V - VIII
showing their mettle with the display of their athletic skills and talent on
the track.
The aim of the event was achieved; the monotony of the pandemic period
was washed away!
The words evaporate while pictures speak.
