On 10th of October, 2023 a workshop was held in the auditorium of the Doon School Srinagar for the students of grade 8th to 12th. The aim of this workshop was to raise awareness among the young adults of the school about mental health, it’s varied aspects and drug abuse. Ms. Laila Qureshi headed the workshop as it’s resource person. After giving a brief introduction of the topic she played a video for the students briefing them about what different types of Intelligences are. The resource person after giving a detailed lecture about mental health suggested students to take professional help for emotional and psychological issues whenever needed. The workshop then addressed the burning issue of our time and place: the drug abuse. The resource person presented the statistics related to the drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir. She offered help to the students in person and through her rehabilitation center ‘The Grooming Kashmir’. The workshop ended with a question answer session in which both, the students and the teachers participated. Ms. Hina presented a vote of gratitude at the end thanking the resource person and her team for taking out time from their busy schedule and for organizing the workshop for the students
