School assemblies play a quintessential role in the student’s life. It paves the way of learning various important social and moral values. At Doon, the culture of school assemblies has its own charm and value. On 8th of March, 2023, the students of senior wing conducted the morning assembly based on the theme 'Women's Day'. It was a pleasure to see them performing so confidently and joyfully on the stage. They demonstrated the power of women and stature to celebrate and value them now and again. The students also enacted a story to show importance of self-defense amongst girls. The teachers also share their views on the crucial topic through beautiful Kashmiri and Urdu poetry. The key takeaway of the assembly was to celebrate womanhood and making a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
