“Of all the gifts that life has to offer, mother is the greatest of them all"
Mother's Day is a special day for both children and moms because it honours the everlasting tie of love and affection. Mothers are the family's emotional backbone, with the ability to heal all wounds and make everything beautiful.
To commemorate and thank all mothers, Doon School Srinagar held a special celebration in the morning assembly on Monday, May 9th, 2022. A variety of performances were prepared. The programme was tastefully designed to match the theme. Attractive charts showcasing children's inventiveness were also on display.
Students gave speeches and danced gracefully to the tunes of songs relating the same theme. It was overwhelming and emotional to witness how these young kids honoured their mothers.
An Activity on the theme of fireless cooking was also conducted across all grades in Primary Department. The students enjoyed the process of making sandwiches, fruit salads and chocolate balls and were quite enthusiastic about the end results.
They presented these delicacies to their supervisors. It was a fun-filled moment to see all the students indulged in the activity.
