Doon School Srinagar successfully organized its Mental Health Awareness Event 2025, an initiative aimed at fostering understanding, empathy, and open dialogue around mental well-being. The event was graced by Dr. Fazlul Qadir, Principal SKIMS, as the Chief Guest, and esteemed Guests of Honour: Dr. Sadaqat Rehman (HOD Psychology, IMHANS), Dr. Mohammad Maqbool (HOD Psychiatry, IMHANS), and Ms. Nasira Hamid (Clinical Psychologist).
The distinguished speakers delivered impactful keynote talks on various mental health concerns, highlighting the importance of early intervention, emotional resilience, and community support. Students added depth to the event through engaging performances: a skit on mental awareness, a soulful choir, and a thematic dance performance promoting positivity and self-acceptance.
The Chairman and Principal of Doon School also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the school’s ongoing commitment to nurturing emotional intelligence alongside academic excellence. The program concluded with a felicitation ceremony, marking a meaningful close to a day dedicated to awareness, compassion, and collective growth.
