Activities are a fantastic motivational tool for students. Co-curricular activities are also encouraged as part of studying at Doon International School, Srinagar. The school promotes co-curricular activities as being equally important as academics. Every Friday, activities for students are held that are not only subject-related but are also centered on arts and crafts.
On August 27, 2022, Grades 1, 2, and 3 participated in various sporting events this week, while Grade 4 had a science quiz. Students in Grades 5, 6, 9 and 10 actively participated in a fireless cooking activity with ingredients they had brought from home. They made bhel puri, chocolate mousse shakes, oreo snack balls, and so much more. The students created delicious dishes that were also visually appealing.
Students in grades 7 and 8 were shown an animated film, for which they had to give an analysis, and then write a critique of it.
The Vice Principal, Ms. Nowsheen Bashir and the Coordinators, got to taste the students’ inventive fireless cuisine. They took a round in the playground where the students were house-wised having fun participating in the same.
