Despite the ongoing winter vacations, the faculty, students, and staff at Doon School Srinagar (DSS) actively participated in a webcast on January 29, 2024, to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Pariksha Pe Charcha-2024."
During the event, PM Modi highlighted the pivotal role of teachers, emphasizing their responsibility in shaping students' lives beyond the confines of syllabus and curriculum. He stressed the significance of fostering a bond between students and teachers that extends beyond academic realms. The Prime Minister also addressed the need to instill resilience in children, urging collective efforts from both parents and teachers to address students' challenges.
Emphasizing the positive aspects of healthy competition, he discouraged sowing seeds of rivalry among children, suggesting that siblings should inspire each other. Acknowledging the creative expressions of students exhibited at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, PM Modi noted that these reflections showcased the new generation's perspectives on various topics and proposed solutions to current issues.
Despite the winter break, Vice-principal Ms. Nowsheen Bashir, the coordinators, teachers and students attended the webcast and engaged in discussions prompted by questions posed by students from various educational institutions nationwide. The active involvement of the DSS community in this event underscored their commitment to staying informed and engaged even during vacation periods.
